Abigail’s Apples

Explanatory Note

This is a collection of experiences through life.  I have compared these to apples.  Why apples?  Everything in life can be compared to something else for the purpose of better communicating experience, feelings, and principles.  Or sometimes, to apply the lesson learned to some other aspect of life.

An apple seed must die in the ground to burst forth with new life and sprout.  After sprouting, it must be nourished, watered, protected for years, and pruned occasionally.  We watch while waiting for it to show its beauty in blossom, leaf out, and bear fruit which we harvest and enjoy.  We even harvest the “drops” that have fallen to the ground which are of lesser quality because they are worthwhile if gotten soon enough.  There are many things to do with these apples, and many kinds of apples. 

I think of life events as apples. Some are sweet and some sour.  Some are not on the inside as they appear on the outside.  Sometimes we have plenty and sometimes not very many.   Here are a few of the little excerpts from my journals over the years called Abigail’s Apples.  I hope you enjoy them.
